2004 SEC Notable Items

Weather Conditions: Hurricane Charley hit Gulf Coast just a few days prior to conference! Conference weather was partly sunny and periods of heavy rain. NGALA event, a  fabolous outdoor venue, had a complete downpour! Everyone took it in stride however.

Notes: Conference organizers quickly developed a plan that became known as "The Charley Challenge" where attendees were emailed days before arriving at the conference and were asked to bring with them clothing items, toiletries, blankets, shoes and many other items identified by the American Red Cross needed by the hurricane victims. The result? On Saturday afternoon of the conference, a complete truckload of items were taken by Donovan at NGALA to the American Red Cross for distribution. Over $6000 dollars was raised!

2004 marked a renewed energy for the SEC conference and people were looking forward to attend the next one!
